Greetings everyone! We have a year-end update on the Tenpyozan Project. https://myemail.constantcontact.com/Tenpyozan-Update---Year

Oakland Zen Center 29.09.2020

This month we've raised $1620 from 27 contributors! Help us raise at least $400 more this last day of the Kawara-gaki fundraiser! Have a roof tile of the Tenpyozan meditation hall inscribed with your personal dedication for a $35 donation. Visit this link to donate and dedicate your tile: http://tenpyozan.org/get-involved... Kawara-gaki is the tradition of writing names on the backs of the roof tiles of a temple when the roof is built or re-done. It allows individuals and families to share in the merit of building the temple. Your name, the name of a friend, or even your business name can be inscribed on the back of a tile before it is placed on the roof. Japanese artisans are now in full swing putting roof tiles on the zendo (meditation hall) at the Tenpyozan site. We will conclude the Kawara-gaki dedication for the zendo by today, May 29. This is your last chance to preserve the names of you and your loved ones for decades on top of the zendo! Visit this link to donate and dedicate your tile: http://tenpyozan.org/get-involved Or mail check donation to: Oakland Zen Center 6140 Chabot Road, Oakland, CA 94618 USA Please provide your first and last name as well the dedication you’d like inscribed such as the individual name, family name, business, or organization. From all of us at Tenpyozan, Thank You!
