The yoga pose you avoid the most you need the most. Mmm mmh mm! And sometimes it’s ALL the poses, but for me it’s usually crow pose and all of it’s transitions. Whether it’s an arm balance, a deadline, a difficult conversation, or a painful emotion..., in the words of Carl Jung: what we resist persists! . So here I am...working on crow pose, Bakasana. This here is what my practice looks like. I get distracted, I land on my belly (in what feels like slow motion lol) and ...I try getting into a shape again and again. My crow is a wobbly one so I’ve considered it less insta-worthy... IG is only for the stuff we’re really good at right?! I’m learning to reject that and am sharing my Practice (not my perfect). It’s ALL practice really. That’s exactly how it is in yoga. The places where you have the most resistance are actually the places that are going to be the areas of the greatest liberation. I’ve been working on overcoming fear and enhancing focus on the mat. I have a tendency to avoid inversions and arm balances because...who on earth likes to fall down?! With practice, I’ve learned how to fall safely. And so, here I am again, trying and falling. And I’ll try again. . What a unique time we’re in, where everything feels unknown and so very uncertain. This can be both frightening and paralyzing. On the other side of this fear, though, is infinite possibly. So we ...try and we fall ... and we try again. . What will you try? . #headstand #salambasirsasana See more
