#SenecaSpotlight: Seneca Family of Agencies' COMPASS program in Petaluma is a neighborhood of foster parents living in individual family homes, creating a community of support for foster parents and the youth in their care. We provide the housing and the families bring the love! Families have access to 24/7 on-site support and daily guidance from Seneca clinicians and behavior specialists. Youth stay for up to six months and each family cares for one youth at a time. Families are provided with housing and a generous monthly stipend. Interested in applying? Visit joinseneca.org/COMPASS.
Two weeks left in the Pick it Up, Pay it Forward campaign! This is a great way to get involved and support Kinship Center while also supporting local restaurants Tarpy’s Roadhouse, Montrio Bistro, and Rio Grill Restaurant. 10% of proceeds from all pickup orders go to Kinship Center! Funds from this campaign will provide emergency assistance to our relative caregiver families caring for their kin children, often unexpectedly, helping to maintain stable homes by preventing these children from entering the foster care system.
Join us on Saturday, May 8th at 10:00am for a brunch-themed live virtual cooking class led by local cookbook author and recipe developer Caroline Chambers! We’ll be baking up Parmesan & Thyme Drop Biscuits, sipping on Strawberry-Lemon Bellinis, and learning how to make a perfect Slow-Cooked Veggie Frittata. Proceeds go to our foster care and adoption services that help build and sustain families. Can't make that time? A recording of the class will be sent to all registered guests. A huge thank you to our brand partners and bidders who helped make our Change Happens Together spring auction such a success! If you liked an item, please give the brand partner a follow, or purchase something directly from their shop to show your support. It has been a hard year for small businesses, and we are so grateful for all the local love and support we saw throughout this entire auction! All funds raised are going straight to our Family Ties program which helps keep children out of foster care and with their relatives. Make sure to follow Change Happens Together on Instagram to stay up-to-date with info about our next auction: https://bit.ly/3wNtw0L #changehappenstogether
