It has been a very challenging few months for our world, our community and our own personal struggles as an individual. Covid has changed all of our personal outlook in life, we weight things out a lot differently now. And see things in a different perspective. Will we go back to the way we were after this is all over ? Or do we remain recluse for the emotional trauma it left behind in our hearts.... But we will all heal in time, the acceptance of the damage that Covid has bestowed upon us during the last months and what could still be ahead of us. As humanity adopts to the new normal, we have done it all together. The sacrifices of all of the front liners have faced to give our community that light ahead of us. Our freedom came with a price for those front liners who put their life before us. And some of us front liners are still healing and will continue to heal. To have just that one moment to hold your hand meant the most for me. Our prayers of strength and hope are always with our front liners, our residents and our families.

"For now, stopping COVID-19 outbreaks comes down to the basics of public health and disease control. Testing, isolating and treating patients, and tracing and quarantining their contacts. Inform, empower and listen to communities. Do it all!"- Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus

If you have tested positive for COVID-19, you can help slow the spread of COVID-19. All positive COVID-19 test results are reported to the OC Health Care Agency... (your local health department) for contact tracing to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We contact the person who tested positive for COVID-19 to see who else might have been exposed. Please take our call seriously. The caller ID will say CA COVID Team. What we ask for: -Where you have been recently and who you have been in contact with -The names and contact information of people you had close contact with so that we can call them. We will NOT tell them who may have exposed them without your permission. What we don’t ask for: -Social security number -Immigration status -Credit card number You should also inform your close contacts yourself. If you had symptoms, contact people you had close contact with (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more). Your infectious period is two days before you had symptoms until: -10 days after your symptoms started; -3 days with no fever without medication (e.g., Tylenol, Advil); and respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough shortness of breath) are improving. If you did not have symptoms, contact people you had close contact with (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more) two days before you took your test until 10 days after you had your test. Here are some words you can use for texting or calling a close contact: I know this may be hard news to hear so if you want to talk, give me a call. After we spent time together recently, I went to get tested for COVID-19 on [date]. Since we had contact recently, my doctor recommends that you and anyone in your home should quarantine at home and get tested even if you don’t have symptoms. Please let other people you have been in close contact (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more) know so that they quarantine at home and can get tested too."
