No figure is more closely identified with the mid-20th century struggle for civil rights than Martin Luther King, Jr. His adoption of nonviolent resistance to achieve equal rights for Black Americans earned him the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. King is remembered for his masterful oratorical skills, most memorably in his "I Have a Dream" speech. As we look to next week and honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., we love these resources from NAACP including their list ...of heroes who advanced racial justice and voices of visionaries who helped to shape our present, and inform our future, much like Dr. King. #MLKDay #IHaveADream #CivilRights #EqualRights http://ow.ly/HsZI50Hs61G

In California, harassment prevention training is not a one-time requirement, training is required every two years for every employee and manager. Learners trained in 2019 will need to train again this year. Keeping track of state regulations and training cycles for employees and new hires can be tedious and complicated. Kantola’s proprietary training platform does it all for you, with training reminders and a suite of retraining functionality. This week marks the start of Black History Month, a time to reflect on the struggles and contributions of the Black community, as well as the importance of working towards racial equality each and every day. How can we make positive changes in the workplace to encourage a more equitable and inclusive culture? At Kantola, we believe it is a journey that involves Learning, Engaging, and Acting. Learn: Listen to, seek guidance and learn from those who experience the workplace d...ifferently than you. Engage: Embrace diverse backgrounds and develop a common framework for understanding one another. Act: Challenge stereotypes and biases, amplify marginalized voices, lift others up and provide support by creating space for others to participate and succeed. There is always more work to do, and it takes commitment from employees at all levels of an organization to foster a workplace that unequivocally embraces diversity and inclusion. #BlackHistoryMonth
