We would like to Welcome Karina Mark, HHP, LMT to our team: Karina Mark is a licensed massage therapist graduate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. Karina has always been drawn to healing people ever since she was a child. With a degree in Holistic Health, she takes into consideration peoples' emotions/energies that could be blocking or causing pain within the body. As a Reiki 2 practitioner and trained in Medical Qi Gong, she utilizes these modalities to heal people on an energetic and phsyical level. Please help us welcome Lydia Rodriguez- Our newest Massage Therapist: Lydia is a graduate of the Massage Therapy / Asian Bodywork program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Lydia is a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) qualified to practice in many types of massage including Thai, Swedish/Circulatory, Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy & Deep Tissue. She has cultured a keen interest in the fascinating capabilit...ies of aromatherapy and the science of developing a personalized blend to fits an individual’s needs. This mix of specialties means she is able to recommend general wellness, post injury and other treatments. Lydia is a 15 year veteran of the New York City restaurant business, and as such knows only too well, the stress that a hectic modern life can put on both the mind and body. Over time, back problems had been added to chronic sore feet, and a constant weariness. She realized that there had to be a better way, thus started her explorations into massage. As a client she found great relief, initially to her physical issues and thereafter, interestingly, she also started to find more peace of mind. The more she benefited from it, the more she wanted to share these solutions with family and friends. Continuing her newfound interest in wellness she moved to San Diego to study Massage Therapy at the renowned Pacific School of Oriental Medicine (PCOM). When not learning or practicing, Lydia has taken well to the West Coast / San Diego lifestyle. She loves the outdoors, hiking often in the Mission trails close to her home and cycling often too! Having started her life in the restaurant industry it is unsurprising that she does also enjoy partaking in the excellent dinner scene in San Diego.
