It's October 1st already?! Happy Fall to all! If your tax return filing date has been extended, we have two weeks left to do your returns; please get your items to us as quickly as possible! Due to COVID-19 precautions, our office is closed to the public, but staff is still on site or available by phone or email. We have a drop box to the left of our front door, or mail in your items. Effective 3/20/2020 Jackson & Eklund will have its front door locked during the day. You are welcome to put any documents in the Drop Box located to your left. We are mailing completed tax returns out. Please make sure you read the instructions in your client copy and get any signed E-File forms back to us through the mail or Drop Box. If you have opted out of filing your returns electronically, sign/date your paper returns and get those in the mail by April 15, 2020. As ...of today, the tax filing deadline has changed to July15th 2020! Payment due dates have been extended: IRS payment due date: July 15, 2020 CA payment due date: July 15, 2020 If you are here to pick up payroll, give our office a call and someone will bring it out to you. 707-822-4835. We are hoping everyone is staying healthy out there! If not, we kindly ask you to use our drop box outside or the mail system if you need to get any documents to us. We will also mail out tax returns to you if you would rather us to do that than coming in to pick them up. Please make sure you are signing and mailing back your E-File forms or signing and mailing your paper returns to the IRS and any states you file with as well as making any payments due to those entities by April 15th. If you have an appointment but would rather just drop your documents by please give a call and we can make that happen. Thank you for your efforts and keep washing those hands!

Yep, it's that time everyone! We look forward to seeing you come through our office for your appointments, pick ups/drop offs or just to say hi. Don't worry, we have that bowl of chocolate always filled for you. This year we'd like to welcome Janelle Bucklin, CPA, to the J&E family. She's our newest tax manager and has worked in the industry for many years here in McKinleyville. She is eager to help with anything you need. As a safety side-note, please remember that the IRS will only contact you through the mail. Should you receive a call stating someone from the IRS needs info from you please DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION! They are scammers!
