Many are reluctant to buy from a sales person at their door for fear that they will be a part of a scam. It is true that there are some scams that use door to door reps to promote. However, there are a few ways to avoid a scam and take advantage of the convenience of buying at the door. 1) Look at the salesperson's badge. If it has their photo and some kind of employee ID it is a good bet that they are legit. 2) Make sure that their apparel matches the products/services that... they are selling. If they work for a reputable company, they should have a uniform that promotes their products. 3) If you are still not sure if the person at your door is not a member of a scam, ask to have their manager's contact info. Scams are often "fly by night" and there is likely no central office that has been set up. We want to make sure that you are protected at your door, and that you have access to the convenience of a sale at your home.
