As California moves into Stage 2 of Gov. Newsom’s Resiliency Roadmap, we want to give you an update of what is open in Irvine based on these directives. We... are excited to add Tennis and Pickleball to the What’s Open list. Beginning this Friday, these will open and operate under new guidelines. City parks, trails, and open space remain open. Docent-led programs and wilderness access days are being modified and restructured to launch when guidelines allow. We know pools and playgrounds are on everyone’s mind. But, those will remain closed as per the State directive; opening in Stage 3. Our City Council voted to to create an expedited approval process for outdoor dining, as soon as permitted by the State, later in Stage 2. Finally, we are excited to announce our Movies on the Lawn and Sizzlin’ Summer Concerts will be provided as a drive-in style event. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available. And as always, call us on our hotline at 949-724-8250 if you have questions or need assistance. Learn more about measures the City Council approved at its May 12 meeting at cityofirvine.org Edited on 5/13/2020 at 7:30 p.m. to provide an updated graphic. See more
