Napa Boot Camp 02.01.2021

Meet Laura Meister, fit at 69 years old! "I started Forever Fit almost 3 years ago! My routine is to work out three times a week, whether in the gym or at home with Zoom or Facebook videos and Forever Fit coaches. ... I joined Forever Fit to improve my balance and get stronger. It’s part of aging to have those challenges but I wanted to at least slow the progression. And I have! It’s not magic or instantaneous but it sure feels good to have a healthy and safe workout program. I feel fit and am wearing at least a size smaller while swapping fat for muscle. I’m not a joiner and this is the longest commitment I’ve ever made for myself. I’m 69 years old and have very bad knees but the Forever Fit program accommodates physical challenges so I don’t feel discouraged when I need to modify some movements. I wanted to lose 10 pounds and I did just by working out for 30 minutes three times a week. Historically, diets make me want to eat more of the wrong things so I haven’t attempted a diet or meal planning but I know it works for a lot of people. I think my biggest physical changes have been in my shoulders and arms. I also have an indentation in my left calf from injury and surgery but because the surrounding muscles are stronger now, it’s not as noticeable. I have to smile when I need to move something heavy and people offer to let me get that for you. I can confidently say, no thanks, I’ve got this without straining at all. Laura wanted to share her story with you because no one is perfect. "I gained over 50 pounds in 2018. The first picture is right after I had my second baby.... It was a hard pregnancy. I couldn’t exercise and I gained over 50 pounds. I was just over 200 pounds when I gave birth. I decided to take my time losing weight. This was the heaviest I’ve ever been in my life but I knew that trying to lose weight quickly and talking negatively to myself would only make things worse. So I started with positive affirmations telling myself, I love my post baby body because he gave me my beautiful daughter. I said this to myself every day in the mirror. I started to exercise slowly. I had not exercised much in about a year and had to start back with the basics. I built a strong foundation. Ate healthy but also didn’t restrict too many calories because I was breast-feeding. I lost weight slowly and started to regain my fitness and strength. The second picture is about six months later. At this point I still had about 10 more pounds to lose before I was back to my pre-baby weight. Sonora I was about to turn one and I figured I didn’t have any more excuses. So I decided to get serious. I dedicated myself to waking up at 5 AM and working out before my kids got up so I’d have no excuses. I also started tracking what I eat on myfitnesspal. The third picture is in right before Christmas. I decided I wanted to take my Fitness to a whole new level and to challenge myself like never before by signing up for a bikini fitness competition. Over the next 10 weeks I trained hard and closely tracked my macros. Although I wasn’t able to complete my bikini competition (it was canceled due to coronavirus) I’m loving the results. I’ve been able to maintain my new body at home over the last 12 weeks thanks to our livestream workouts. I love my body but more importantly I love the journey getting here. It didn’t happen overnight. I didn’t overly restrict myself. I didn’t talk negatively to myself. I didn’t go to extremes. I focused on positive affirmations and loving my body." It's Transformation Tuesday Jennifer Veveiros has lost 28 pounds THIS YEAR "Since I turned 40 weight loss has been a struggle and weight gain has been a breeze!... In 2017 I started the Whole 30 Diet and lost 31 pounds. Then my mom passed away and since then I've gained 40 pounds. My heaviest was 209 pounds, and on December 23, 2019 I weighed 207 pounds. It was my New Year's Resolution to lose weight and get back into shape. I began to cook all my meals (versus Door Dash everyday since I am an empty-nester and it seemed silly to cook just for 2 people, my husband and I). I also joined Fit Body Boot Camp and work out 5 days per week and do yoga up to 3 days a week. I am currently weighing 179 pound, and my ultimate goal is to get to 165 pounds (for a total loss of 42 pounds). It's Transformation Tuesdayand I am trilled to introduce you to our very own Club Manager, Jen Shugar! "My transformation actually started long before I joined Fit Body Boot Camp but life has forever been changed because of it. I have been overweight my ENTIRE life. After having my son in 2002, my weight sky rocketed to a staggering 315 pounds and I am only 5’4 tall! Needless to say, I was NOT living my best life. I consumed a LOT of fast food, never exercised, an...d couldn’t even play with my son because I was so out of shape. Fast forward to 2010 when I finally decided enough was enough. I started out by making small changes to my diet and added in a ton of walking. Slowly, the weight started to come off. By mid 2013 I had lost more than 150 pounds by only changing my diet. I eliminated carbs, sugar, dairy, alcohol and basically anything fun and while, my confidence was boosted, I still wasn’t happy. And I was a total bore in social situations. In 2017 some friends of mine joined FIt Body. They all talked about how great it was so, I was curious. I looked it up on Groupon, and, sure enough! 5 weeks of bootcamp! I told one of my coworkers I was going to try it! She told me, It’s really hard. I’m not sure it’s for you. Well, that just lit a fire under me like nothing else!!! If I could lose 150 pounds, on my own, I could kick butt at bootcamp! So, I signed up in May of 2017 and I’ve been basically going 5 days a week ever since! The classes are intense!! And for someone like me, who’d never worked out before, I wasn’t sure I would even be able to keep up! Thankfully, all the movements can be modified and you work at your own pace! If I can do it, anyone can do it! FBBC has been the BEST thing I have ever done for myself. It’s the best 30 minutes of my day. I have done things I’ve never thought possible. Fit Body pushes me, challenges me, makes me want to try harder and do more! I have learned to eat and fuel my body in way that is sane and in a way that I am still able to enjoy my life, while getting long lasting results! And I haven’t even touched on the AMAZING people I have met and the wonderful friendships I have formed through FBBC! I am healthier, happier, and stronger than I have ever been! Single Mom Restores Her Self-Confidence READ ON..... It's Transformation Tuesday and I wanted to introduce you to Chaunte Crockett. "My journey with FBBC began August 2019.... My girlfriend who had worked out at the Fairfield facility spoke highly and recommended it. I procrastinated several months before actually stepping foot into the building (and she had to bring me)...I was a nervous wreck. I was at my heaviest as an adult, my son was a little over a year old, my confidence was shot and non existent. I did the free trial officially in September 2019 and decided to join. I have not been able to make it as much as I’d like issues ranging from being a single mom, baby being sick and I don’t have a sitter, to me being sick, I’m so glad I hung in there. Not only have I regained my confidence but also strength. It has helped to reduce the pain I feel in my hands due to carpal tunnel, I can fit into pre-pregnancy clothes and still enjoy a little wine here and there. The coaches are amazing, supportive, lively, and interactive. They push you to follow through because they know everyday you show up it’s for the result you want, it’s not called FBBC for nothing. I did not track my starting measurements other than weight and I have gone from 201 to now 186. Just when I was about to throw in the towel I met with Jen 2/10/20 and she asked if I'd taken some "after" photos. I had not and now I can see the result! Bikini ready at 46 [inspiring story...read on] It's Transformation Tuesday and we are officially reopen for classes! This is Christy Chamberlain.... She did a photo shoot in Hawaii in December and requested the photographer to not edit her body. "I even had him keep my surgery scars in the pic to remind me of my journey. It was a long road but I am grateful and feel so much better!" Here is Christy's story.... "I started at FBBC in July of last year and it changed my life. I’ve struggled with the scale and body image issues for almost all my life for as long as I can remember. I was a gymnast in my younger days which made me aware of my weight all the time. But it’s been the hardest these past 10 years when my weight yo-yo’d up and down as I tried all the latest fitness fads, weight loss miracle pills, and wasted my money on gym memberships. I’d lose five pounds here and there but always put it back on. In September of 2018, at 46 years old, I drove myself to the emergency room during a painful pancreatitis attack and had to have surgery to remove my gallbladder because I had multiple gallstones. I was overweight and unhealthy. Even though I lost six pounds from being in the hospital, it wasn’t long before I packed the weight back on and then some. I was bigger than ever. I was self conscious, my clothes didn’t fit, and I was depressed. I finally hit a wall and decided I needed to do something different. I joined FBBC in July. It was a struggle. Even though I felt like I was being tortured every day, it felt good! I followed the meal plan and logged my food on My Fitness Pal. I knew Iwas losing weight because I was able to fit into some of my old skinny clothes. I got so busy just doing what I needed to do (going to class and eating healthy) that I didn’t bother to weigh myself from September to December. When I finally weighed myself on January 7 during the fitness test, I realized that I had lost 15 pounds since I started at FBBC! Thank you to everyone at FBBC for helping me accomplish this. How I lost 30 pounds with the Drop Pounds Get Paid Challenge. It's Transformation Tuesday and I wanted to introduce you to Natalie Rosa "When I first started fit body I knew that I needed to make a change, but didn't know how or if I was truly ready to make that change. ... I took a class or 2 here and there, enjoyed them, but was never consistent about when I went, didn't reach out to any of the coaches, and never made a change to my eating habits. As you can already guess I saw no results, and felt like it was pointless in going at all. I stopped going to classes, but remained a member, and still got all of the accountability emails, text messages, and the Facebook group messages as well. Then the holidays happened. It was a new year, and I found myself 5 pounds heavier than I had ever been, and once again knowing that I needed to make a change. A week or 2 later I saw a new challenge fit body was starting, it was called the "drop pounds get paid" challenge, and DING something clicked in my head. Maybe it was because I was truly ready, Maybe it was because I truly needed it, Or maybe it was because money was involved, But that challenge started me on my way to becoming the whole new me that you see today. It wasn't easy, but I put myself all in and became completely committed to the "fit body" way. I followed the meal plan to the T, started taking classes consistently every week, and began reaching out to the coaches and other members for help. Before I knew it it had been 6 months, I was more than 10 pounds down, and my routine was no longer a routine but a way of life. My true fit body fitness journey started January 22nd 2018, and now 2 years later I am down 30 pounds, eating healthier than I ever have, and feel and look healthier now in my 40's than I ever did in my 20's! Becoming a member of fit body boot camp is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. It sounds very cliche, but it is the honest to god truth. Has your freshman 15 been hanging around for the past decade? It's Transformation Tuesday and I wanted to introduce you to Jacqueline Mansuy. "I had been active my entire life, but that stopped when I got to college.... When I moved back home I knew I needed to be active again, so I joined a couple gyms but I never went because I didn’t know what to do once I got there. I started googling fitness trainers and came across FBBC. After attending orientation, I signed up for a membership, and I’ve been loving it ever since! I love the friendships that I’ve made with other members and the trainers. Everyone is so kind and encouraging, and these friendships have extended beyond the gym, which is something that I really appreciate. I also love working out with my parents, and the fact that we’re on this fitness journey as an entire family. The advice I would give to someone just starting out here is to not be afraid to reach out to the trainers or other members, whether it be for help or just to be friendly and make connections. FBBC is like a small community, and forming relationships within the community ultimately helps make the journey much more enjoyable. One of my favorite quotes to refer back to is it’s a good day to be proud of all the progress you’ve made. I know I can get down on myself for not being exactly where I want to be, but it’s important to remind myself of all the progress I’ve made- both physically and mentally." It's Transformation Tuesday and I wanted to introduce you to Cindy Plascencia I started coming to FBBC with my two best friends. One of my friends, Breanna, was getting ready to go into surgery and we needed to help get her in shape so she would have the best possible chances of a positive outcome during her surgery.... Get all discussed wanting to get healthier and this was a perfect opportunity to do that together. Breanna came in first and fell in love with Coach Christina and then dragged us all in the very next day. It started as a journey on trying to get our friend healthy. Unfortunately we did lose Breanna during her surgery. She wanted us to keep going to get better for ourselves....and so we are here. Everyday. Not only for us but for her and her memory. She wanted us to become better versions of ourselves. We are here for ourselves, for her, for our family, for her children, for everybody that she left behind. In loving memory of Breanna.

Transformation Tuesday July marks my two year anniversary with FBBC. Joining has easily been one of the best decisions of my life. I am healthier today than I have been in a long long time. I have so much gratitude for the incredible friendships I’ve found at FBBC. The coaches are amazing and have been so supportive on my journey to a better self.... I started this journey weighing an all time high of 270 lbs. I now weigh 201 lbs and am at 16.5% body fat. The week before last I received an email notification that I had reached 500 workouts. Transformation Tuesday My transformation all started with self-doubt. I would look in the mirror every morning and say to myself, "I need to lose weight in order to feel good."... This lead to a conversations with my mom about joining a boot camp and she mentioned FBBC to me. I looked into Fit Body and not only did I see results but the reviews drew me to it. Transformation Tuesday Lisa Blackmore I signed up for the 6 week Challenge at Fit Body mid December of 2018. I had high blood pressure, was recovering from surgery, and weighed almost 170lbs(I'm 5'3). ... I've been following my specialized meal plan (a few cheat days here and there), and have continued my health and weight loss journey with Fit Body even after the 6 weeks. I am currently down close to 30lbs! I feel good, I look good, my blood pressure is down, and have tons of energy! I have made amazing friends here, we motivate each other in and out of Boot Camp. And the coaches! I feel so connected to them and they really push you to be your best. I went from going 3 times a week, to 5, sometimes 6 days. Even have energy to do multiple classes in one day! Fit Body has changed me mentally and physically. My goal moving forward, is to lose a few more pounds, and get Coach Cristina's arms. @Lisa Blackmore

It's Transformation Tuesday and I wanted to introduce you to Evelyn. "Before joining Fit Body I hadn’t worked out in a couple years. I was usually active- whether it was me walking the dog, going on hikes to our local parks, or playing sports. I threw my money on a membership at a gym that I went to about 6 times.... I stopped going because I DID NOT know what to do at the gym. I would automatically hit the treadmills, the stair master, or some leg squat machine and that would be my workout.
