With a weekend next to the ocean, coming up tomorrow, my GoPro needed a wrist strap. Its kind of a pain in the ass to get it out of a back pack, real quick. It, being an old GoPro (and with how sturdy these things are), I really don't worry about clipping it to the outside of my mini backpack or wearing it as a bracelet to keep it handy. Also, extra cord for any reason is never a bad idea. #IMakeSht #QuickProjects #UsefulThings #Zippo #Paracord #GoPro (@GoPro)

Chuckys hands: For his hands, I started at his wrists and worked down, to his fingers. Each finger moves independently from the other (manually, not on his own. I don't know Latin). Yah.... that is pretty much it. A months worth of work and worry that he wouldn'tactually like it, all stuffed into a surprise package, leading to one very happy Vinny. Thank God he's happy . Also, to see a doll that YOU HAVE MADE standing freely, while you step back to take a picture is weird as fuck . #IMakeSht #Chucky #ChuckyDoll #CrochetChucky

Chuckys head and hair: Chucky has big cheeks and those NEEDED to be prominent. So, in making his head, those were necessary. His eyes and mouth are crocheted with embroidery floss, separated into three of the 6 strands for smaller work and more detail. Then, stitched on. His freckles are individual French knots, in as close to the actual pattern of the real doll, as I could get. He looked stupid with a nose so, I just kinda didn't give him one? Hair. Geezus. I have never m...ade a doll before. Let alone figured out hair. Long before his face was made,, but after deciding that the hair needed to be pulled through from the inside, like a Barbie, I had to take his head off . Wasn't a big deal. So, process of doll hair: Cut 8,000 strands that are too long, knot every single one, in the middle, pull through the fabric of the head (with embroidery needle or very small crochet hook) and repeat until you want to stab yourself with said needle or hook. You will need to cut more strands. Repeat -two more times- because you used the wrong color THE FIRST TWO TIMES. Can I get a facepalm here, please? . Thank you. And give him a hair cut, once he is all put together and finished. With the first hair color, you can see that I separated each strand of yarn, into its four strands. Steamed and combed to straighten, to look like real doll hair. It just didn't look right. And the brown was the second color. Because store lighting and internet pictures couldn't agree on hair color. #IMakeSht #Chucky #ChuckyDoll #CrochetChucky See more

Chuckys body: His body is super basic and wasn't terribly hard to figure out. After making his head, I started with the same number of stitches, plus a few,, to make the collar, increased appropriately until getting to the right size, divided that into four sections (chest, arm, back, arm. Chest and back will be worked together, to form one section.) and continued working down separately, for the body of the shirt and arms. Once at the appropriate length of the shirt, it's j...ust a switch to a single color for pants. Divide into two sections for legs, after awhile and keep making tubes. Finish the sleeves and you have a body. For the overall flap, I picked up stitches at the beginning of the pants and worked up, decreasing sides because overalls aren't rectangles. Straps were similar to start. Just smaller. And got stitched onto the flap, in the front. Pocket was made separately and stitched on. #IMakeSht #Chucky #ChuckyDoll #CrochetChucky See more

Chuckys shirt and pants cuffs: I really wanted this doll to be -as close- to the one made by Trick or Treat Studios, as possible. This meant buying six different colors of yarn, for his shirt and pants cuffs. Each stripe is crochet, individually. Weaving the tail with an embroidery needle to create a seamless final stitch for the shirt and just folding the tail back, under the next row, for the cuffs. This left me covered in piles of short strands of yarn for days. But only... from the cuffs. I didn't bother to trim the ends inside the shirt . Once the strips of cuffs were done, I stitched the ends together, to form a ring and stitched -those- to the ends of his pants legs. There you have it, real cuffs that can be moved around like real pants. As for his shoelaces, they are actual shoelaces. I laced up his little shoes through the appropriate stitches and, using packing tape, I wrapped the laces as tightly as possible (This is harder than it seems like it should be). Then, cut to a matching length. That's it. #IMakeShit #Chucky #CrochetChucky See more
