A picture credit to Trader Chris for this image of the remnants of the old HB city Jail on the alley between Main and 5th streets. Incredibly heavy sliding doors kept the bad guys inside. An interesting fact is that in 1920 the oil boom was so great in Huntington Beach as the Bolsa Chica gusher was tapped, that these cells did double duty as lodging for some of the oil workers that came here to make their fortune.
