Oktoberfest is here!! Come by, neighbors! 936 Emory Street1-5pm today.

Only THREE DAYS til our annual College Park Oktoberfest!! We are excited to see you all on Saturday Oct 12 from 1-5pm at 936 Emory St! As we head into the final countdown, we’re also looking for volunteers to help with some day-of-the-event things: help decorate and set up tables & chairs, and help greet people at our check-in table and collect donations and membership dues. It’s time for spring cleaning. This is a great way to clean out your stuff and give back to one of our neighborhood schools.

Flowers of Comfort is a small group of women that re-cut, refresh, and reuse flowers to create beautiful bouquets. They then deliver them to patients in hospice..., skilled nursing, and retirement homes. Flowers of Comfort is in need of vases and flowers. Neighbors, we are looking for VOLUNTEERS to help with Oktoberfest! Volunteer opportunities include the following: - Fri 10/19, time TBD: pick up tables & chairs and bring to 970 University; we need help from a neighbor who has a pick-up truck to fit approx 8 folding tables & 40 folding chairs - Sat 10/20, 11am: set up tables & chairs, decorations, etc.... - Sat 10/20, during event: help staff the check-in table to help relieve treasurers Laurie & Jim during breaks. Includes collecting Oktoberfest donations & CPNA membership dues, making sure people have name tags, etc. - Sat or Sun: help clean up after event - Sun or Mon (TBD): return borrowed tables & chairs See more
