Urgent donations needed sweet puppy Merlin came in a few days ago and unfortunately has been rapidly declining. He is lethargic, vomiting and with constant diarrhea and refuses to eat. We have already done a fluids, blood and fecal test which have both come back negative. The vet believe it’s an obstruction and he needs immediate surgery to possibly save his life. He’s only nine months old and 27 pounds and deserves this chance. We need to raise upward of $3000 today to make this happen

We want to send a huge thank you to one of our local partners who always steps up to help a hairy dog in need! Jennifer Montoya is very talented dog groomer and mobile. Please consider her for your local grooming needs. She helped this very matted stray dog find relief yesterday and what a cute dog we found under those matts!

Looking for a foster for this adorable pocket pittie! Zena has been at the shelter almost 2 months with surprisingly little interest. She is extremely affectionate and goofy! The shelter trainer calls her one of the quickest learners she has ever seen. Shelter life is starting to get to her, and she is beginning to go downhill. She is currently working on jumping and mouthiness. Free training support will be provided to help quickly address these issues. She needs to be the only animal in the home, but is not very reactive when seeing animals on walks. She is excellent at fetch! If you are interested, please send an e-mail to [email protected]

Please email [email protected] to make an appointment. (The dog on the left will receive a professional grooming today for comfort. We will post a picture when you can get a better look at the dog.) Hello, my name is Micco and I am a young lad. I was found as a stray so my heritage is a bit of a mystery. Some at the shelter believe I'm a Smithfield Cattle Dog mix, others think I have Australian Shepherd in me, and yet others think I may be an Entlebucher Mountain Dog. Regardless, everyone agrees that I am super friendly and playful with a lot of puppy energy. If you are looking for a handsome boy to add to your active family, please fill out the application to adopt me at hsnb.org/adoptions.

This adorable little guy is Jimmy! He’s a shy guy that came into the shelter terrified. Luckily we found him a foster and he has decompressed and absolutely loves to play with toys. He still will need slow intros and ideally an experienced owner. He is dog friendly and full of energy. If you’re interested to meet him please submit the application

This handsome pittie is Canelo! This poor guy was an owner surrender to us he was too much and having an infant. He is big and strong so he definitely needs a savvy handler. He loves to go for walks, he is super playful and full of personality. He likes every human he meets and has been totally unreactive meeting other dogs. Come and meet him today.

These two adorable silly pups would love to be adopted together but we understand that may not happen. Meet Dolly and Dodger, who appear to be some sort of Pins...cher, Doberman, Shepherd mix. Dolly is 11 months old and Dodger is one and a half years old. They are full of energy, spunk and play! They definitely need adopters who are ready to commit to training and structure because they do lack manners. They are super friendly and want nothing but attention. See more
