Did you know? In a project completed in 2002, the peak of Mt. Livermore was restored to its original height (781 feet). The mountain top had been flattened by 18 feet in the 1950s for the Nike missile installation. Native coyote bush and California sage were planted on the summit from seeds collected on the island.
