Traffic collision Hwy 101 & La Franchi Road Wednesday afternoon. Assisted by Medstar & Calstar

The call for service knows no holidays. Our paid and volunteer staff just returned from a traffic collision on Highway 175 at MM 7.78. This vehicle left the roadway and ended up on its side, down the embankment. Fortunately, the driver was uninjured. We encourage everyone to drive safely on this Easter Sunday!

Hey folks, As Christmas is quickly approaching, we understand most people are on a tighter budget. But one of our own needs our help. Grant has been a volunteer firefighter for Ukiah City Fire, Potter Valley Fire and has helped staff our station in Hopland during flooding events (he is a very experienced swift water rescue technician). He also works for CalFire and Medstar Ukiah Ambulance, so he truly does it all. Grant was injured in a serious accident at his home on Wednesday and was hurt badly. His family could really use some Christmas love. If you can find it in your hearts and your budget, please donate and help his family through this rough time as he will have a long road to recovery, anything will help! Good afternoon everyone! We are going to be hosting another blood drive at our station. It is so important to donate blood. With these uneasy times, we understand everyone is apprehensive coming out to such events, but we assure you, the best COVID practices will be in place so you can safely donate!

We haven’t forgotten...

Hi folks, As you all can imagine. Things have been VERY busy for us. We have crews all over fighting the many fires burning. Be assured that our station is still staffed and ready to respond to any emergency in our district. The smoke you are seeing in the area is from the fires way up north.

Just a little update on our Strike Team. They were quickly demob’d off the Apple Fire and now that are assigned to the rapidly growing Stagecoach Fire in the Cleveland National Forest in Kern County. The fire was 1500 acres as of this morning. Below is a screenshot of the Breckenridge Peak fire camera. It’s a good thing our training program is top notch, this fire is very angry.
