We all have a place that we default to when things happen in our life For some people it’s anger, for some people it’s frustration, some people immediately loo...k for the best in any situation. The importance of identifying, recognizing, and shifting it if you need to is imperative. Your physical health and your mental/emotional health depend on it. My belief that how we show up feeling to the barn, home to your family, to your place of work Is all affected by this one thing. Don’t be the person that goes through life thinking that life is happening to them The absolute only thing you can control is how you feel about any situation, and knowing that what we do have the power to do is alter our perception. Everything that we have in our life we have allowed, from people, situations, sickness and pain in our bodies. If you won’t do it for yourself, maybe you’ll do it for your family or your horse. In this video talk a little deeper about all of those things and even go into a story about how I learned this at a deeper level in the last couple days Every situation that feels hard is a gift, it is highlighting something that you need to look deeper at. If you don’t use it for growth and up leveling your life, the only other option is to let it back into your life repeatedly Honestly until you learn the lesson and find the virtue within that story It will haunt you for the rest of your life. Mirror Monday: The Illustration of Control Episode 1 -Nervous Systems- What are they and why are they such an important thing to understand. -Horse training ...isn’t about making them fearless. It’s about giving them tools to regulate their emotions. There is no way for us to be able to control the environment at all times. There will always be unexpected situations. It’s our story about them that creates the emotion and then the response. Control is a illusion that makes us believe we can create safety. It’s just not true. It leaves people exhausted and heavy. When you realize you cannot control everything than usually that brings on anxiety. Fear of what has not happened yet... Anxiety is out imagination running our emotions into the ground. It’s not about the trailer in trailer loading issues, or the tarp, or the arena they don’t like... For us the airplane we are afraid to get on, or boss we don’t like, or the spouse that doesn’t understand us... it’s the story about these things. Our beliefs...
