Hanana Community Center

We at Hanana Community Center, one of our goals is to build strong community thorough collaboration and making our programs accessible in the San Diego region. For that reason, Hanana Community Center Joined last year Census Rich Hub with the lead of PANA. We are grateful for all of the collective work we achieved together around the census with our RICH hub. We were able to reach HTC communities throughout the county, hosting workshops, creating informational videos and flyers in language, and host phoned banks that reached thousands of individuals to inform them and provide support on completing the census. Special thanks to Ramla Sahid and everyone who participated to help our communities counted!

I’m excited that we present series of ain’t-bullying awareness workshops for our youth. Yesterday, we had first class, which covered different types of bullying, targets, what if you are being bullied, and what if I’m the bully! It’s imperative to recognize and deal with the danger when it arises, give the youth effective tools to make them feel more confident, resilient, and help them diffuse the effects of bullying. Thanks to Mr. Salas for presenting such an empowering training!!

Soccer program resumes after Ramadan break. I’m glad to see kids having fun!!!

Many people in communities are struggling with hunger. I’m grateful that Hanana Community Center took a step to solve this critical issue on local level by distributing food to needy individuals and families. Join us every Thursday in City heights and help us help our people. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Alhamdu lilaah, we had a fun day! Thanks to everyone who participated and helped, specially the mothers for feeding us all. Hanana team work hard to provide life changing programs that benefit children such as access to park & open space.
