When we asked Romeo why his green lettuce was the best, he simply answered : Love. It’s the amount of Love he puts in what he does and the way he does it. There is a way of working the earth, the ground, a way of planting seeds and a way of picking up a lettuce. All this make it really special. Food carries energy and it’s the same energy we put in our body everyday. Where does it come from, where do we buy it, how we prepare it, every step along the way is adding a little b...it of a taste. More we do that process in respect and connected with nature and ourself, the tastier and healthier it will be. Romeo welcomed us in his home and his mom cooked for us. With his wonderful wife, he shared their journey with us, all the way from the time his dad bought the Farm in 1963. It is so challenging to work in such a special environment. Between fires and the lack of water, we have a huge responsibility as human to protect the planet we live in and there is so many way we can make a difference. Supporting local farmers, being aware of what we eat and how we eat it is part of it. Buying our food from a place that respects the basics of nature can really make the difference. And while we are at it, let’s save water as much as we can and spread the Love for this planet. Thank you to all. His lettuce is all around our menu, so it will be easy to find See more

This, is so much more than a picture of a Lemon Meringue Tart ! It’s the one thing (on top of all the other things) that we miss about home. Most Sundays are spent relaxing, maybe a morning flea market in Saint-Ouen, à lunch with some friends, an afternoon walk in Le Marais that ends up in our favorite Boulangerie to buy some pâtisseries for a late afternoon snack on the couch with your Loved one or a little treat in front of the tv watching 7 à 8. Tarte citron Meringuée m...ade by @sweetwheatbakery Thank you for bringing France to us, for making things with passion and something called : Délicatesse. Cheers to our old ways of spending Sunday’s We miss you... See more

Not a long time ago, Shakshuka became a thing. Antoine is a really big fan of it and wanted to put one on the menu since the beginning. He discovered it a few years back while traveling to New Zélande. He will tell you that it is everything that he likes, right between breakfast and lunch. For me, its all my childhood, the food that my grandma, who is originally from Tunisia, will make when she doesn’t want to cook. It was the Sunday night dinner, it was the late afternoon sn...ack when the family is hungry, it was everyone coming together and grabbing some with bread. As a good Jewish grandma, and half Italian, she will always make 2 huge cooking pot, one really spicy for my grandfather and the other one not spicy at all for all my aunts and cousins. At the last minute she will break the eggs on it and on fancy days, add merguez. Little she knew that this simple dish form Tunisia will one day become a thing all around the world and we will do it in our restaurant ! So to all the Tunisians Grandmothers... and to all of you, who just like Antoine, loves something right between breakfast and lunch, here you go ! Available starting Tuesday 9am ! It’s going to be a thing... And thank you to the @avocadotoastca for making it happen See more

Some mornings are harder than others and on a heavy morning, Rene, nuestro papa de la cocina makes us a burrito. Each time it was the same conversation in our head : - Sarah or Antoine : We need to put that burrito on the menu - Antoine or Sarah : We can’t we are French, we already have a burger and an avocado toast. - Antoine or Sarah : Yeah you’r right, we are French ! ... But after a lot of burritos and a lot of thinking, we both decided that seriously, who gives a fuck about us being French ! We did made a little twist into it with fried potato cooked, caramelized onions and piment d’Espelette. We did add @porkandflowers bacon, some avocado, mushroom and emmental. And I won’t even tell you about the home made hot sauce that we put it with. Come have that hot piece of burrito ! The Frenchies and René are here for you See more

Elie, aka Pepe LouLou, was my grandfather. He was the only one in my whole family to work in the restaurant business. His first restaurant was in Tunisia and the second one was in Nice, South of France. I never got the chance to met him but I heard that he was a hard worker, a really strong and generous man. When I open my first restaurant, @gabylourestaurant, I decided to named it after him and after my grandparents, Gabylou, Gaby for Gabrielle, and Lou for Pépé LouLou. ...When I sold it, I also sold the name, and 5 years later, Gabylou is still here and successful. Today, they are making their first couscous and I could not resist about sharing that story with you all. He will be so proud and so happy... So Cheers to you Grandpa, and to you @gabylourestaurant And above all, Thank you to @nadeurvan the wonderful man that I hired 4 years ago as a waiter and who is now the strong manager of Gabylou. Thank you @nadeurvan for still guarding the spirit of this wonderful place and the memory of my grandfather alive for me. @ Gabylou See more
