Leave a THANK YOU for our 19-20 GSA Board! GSA has made incredible strides this year making the voice of graduate students at SDSU louder than ever before! These accomplishments could not have been done without our hardworking, passionate and persistent GSA board, who were able to achieve this all while being students themselves! We began the year with classic events like GSA’s own graduate student orientation (which saw the attendance of hundreds of our peers), to advocat...ing for a permanent graduate student orientation hosted by the university for all incoming graduate students. We had fun with previously held events such as bowling and pizza night, to new social events like paddling at the bay, a Halloween social, and a virtual paint night! Our graduate student followers on social media doubled from last year, and we made fun I can’t, I’m in Grad School shirts for all you to enjoy! We joined together to make social change with Allies to End Detention at our Friendsgiving event and added more positions for graduate student representation in councils throughout the university. We advocated for a graduate student lounge, and with help from you all, we made it happen in the Aztec Student Union! We also had the opportunity to advocate for graduate student housing for the SDSU Mission Valley project and directly voiced our experiences to developers of the project. It has been our pleasure serving you and making a change for the graduate student community at SDSU that will be felt for years to come!
