We at Greater Opportunities wanted to make sure that our Cortez participants had a nice Thanksgiving, so we put together these delicious little meals during cooking class. We then wrapped them up and safely delivered them to our appreciative students. Happy Thanksgiving guys!

We are in need of compassionate and patient caregivers who will provide 1:1 supervision and support services to individuals in their homes. *YOU* You must be a compassionate worker with a passion for helping vulnerable individuals in our community. You will be placing these individual's needs over your own convenience. You mu...st be patient, able to set personal boundaries and respect the individual's wishes/needs. You must be proficient with Email, text, and be able to learn how to utilize our record keeping system, Therap. You must be honest, and able to hold yourself and quality of your work at a higher standards. *THE PARTICIPANT* Female participant who resides in San Jose. She is very high functioning and needs verbal prompts to complete ADL's. She will need support in completing daily living activities such as but not limited to; housekeeping, meal planning/cooking, medication management and companionship. Here are Barbara and Kevin celebrating Barbara's birthday with a special cake and a day out for dinner in Santa Cruz. Happy Birthday Barbara! It is so nice to see you two inseparable lovebirds enjoying yourselves through this difficult time. Your love is an inspiration to us.

Day Program is lucky enough to have a new addition to our programming. Peter has offered to volunteer his time to grace us with music once every week. Peter has been a music therapist for over twenty years working with Guardian Adult Day Health Center in El Sobrante and the Center for Elder Independence in Oakland. Although he is now retired he has never slowed his pace trying to improve people's lives through music.

Here's Wilma teaching us how to say some new words during Tagalog class in the remote day program. She is such a great guro!
