Remembering Scoutmaster O'Leary Scoutmaster William O'Leary led Troop 210 for 20 years with passion, honor and commitment. Bill was scoutmaster from 1993 to 2013 and guided 60 scouts to earn their Eagle rank. He was a firm believer that Scouting happens on the Outing. He has left an indelible mark on the troop and his memory continues to inspire the troop today. Troop 210 has recently made a donation to the National Scouting Museum in Cimarron New Mexico, adjacent to Phil...mont Scout Ranch. With that donation we honor Scoutmaster William O'Leary by having a brick installed there carrying his name. If Bill impacted your life, consider making your own donation to the museum, and share a story with a friend or fellow scouter about him. If you visit the museum be sure to look for the brick with his name on it. Take a picture with it and please share it with the troop. Despite Covid, Scouts are working to serve the community. Please consider donating to David McBride's Eagle Project. Here is a short description from David: "I will be working on restoring the rear portion of a historic steam locomotive that was built in 1864 and resides at the Travel Town Museum today. The full set of restoration projects are part of the 150 year anniversary of the transcontinental railroad. My project will cost about $1000 and I am seeking donations fro...m the community, friends and family." There are 2 ways to help fund his project: 1. Straight Donation: https://www.gofundme.com/f/eagle-scout-project-at-travel-to (all proceeds go to the project) 2. Buy Boy Scout Popcorn (35% will go to the project and 35% will go to Verdugo Hills Council ) https://www.trails-end.com/store/scout/AH3BPECA Thank you in advance for any support you can offer, and THANK YOU to those who already donated to the project! If there are any excess funds donations beyond the cost of the Eagle Scout Project the remainder will be donated to the Travel Town Museum Foundation to help maintain this and other beautiful trains.
