If your student has attended Grant from Kindergarten or First through 8th grade, we would like to have them come join their fellow "lifers" for a photo session that will be included in the 8th Grade Memory Book!

A Note Of Gratitude from Adopt A Family #11: Thanks so much to all the donors and the Grant PTA and counselor for organizing this. 2020 was an especially hard year for us but we were doing okay getting through it. Having the school reach out to us through phone calls, texts and gifts to Share the Love meant so much to this single mama and her kids!! Your generosity really helped to make our holiday bright!! Geckos's Share the Love Initiative Update! On December 21st, in partnership with UCSD (La Jolla) Hospital nurses and doctors, Mission Hills Music and Canale Comm, the Grant PTA distributed over $25,000 in gifts and gift cards to 18 Grant families that touched 90 people. We had over 100 generous donors provide the needed funds and gifts to make these families lives a bit better. Residual funds collected after 12/20 will be provided to our Grant counselors to use on an emergen...cy basis to help families in crisis meet their needs. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED!

Mrs. Valeska and her students have been working hard to keep Grant's in-person holiday sing-a-long tradition alive this year via zoom. Join us to enjoy student music performances and sing a long to some family holiday favorites! The event will last thirty minutes from start to finish. San Diego Unified’s Family Engagement Department will hold a series of workshops for families. In this series of three workshops, you will learn how to help keep your children safer online, the risks students may encounter while accessing the Internet, and about cyberbullying. If you filled out the PE Equipment Needs Form, the supplies have now arrived and distribution of the equipment to families who filled out the survey will occur during the following dates/time: Location: Grant School Rock Room THURS. 10/29/20: 9am - 11am; 5:00pm - 7:00pm... FRI. 10/30/20: 9am - 11am; 5:00pm - 7:00pm We are fortunate at Grant to have a PTA that is able to fund these types of expenditures since the school district is not able to. We went thru each request and have received all of the equipment. We reviewed each order to ensure that it was for the correct grade so some people who filled out the form for all items, will only get the items that are grade appropriate. Grant PTA Response to Phasing Plans Good morning, I wanted to share our response to the email that was shared with parents and guardians on Wednesday. The bottom line is that we need a Vice Principal to assist with the phase in plans and we are calling on parents to help us let the SDUSD board know that we need this full time position.
