Angeles Crest Christian Camp is one of the missions Gold Coast supports monthly. This will be a great time to help prepare the camp for ministry! The camp is looking for skilled and unskilled workers for a variety of projects. Stay the whole weekend or just come up on Saturday, May 29, to serve that day. Everything is FREE. Ladies, invite a friend, bring a lawn chair and lunch, and join us this Saturday, May 1st at 1 PM for a picnic and some optional get-to-know you activities at Valle Lindo Park in Camarillo. We hope you’ll join us on this beautiful afternoon!

It’s happening TONIGHT for middle and high school students! Wear costumes to this NOT-A-PARTY youth group night. Find out who won the pumpkin carving contest. We’ll have a piñata, tamales, costume contest, games, snacks, raffles, a movie and tons of candy. But it’s NOT a party because it’s 2020. Hope to see all of our students there! Bring friends, be creative, wear masks and stand 6 feet apart!

Due to the most recent COVID-19 regulations on any Halloween activities in which Halloween gatherings or parties and carnivals are not permitted in our county, we will be bringing some harvest fun to you! On Friday October 30th, your child will receive a Harvest Goody Bag with toys, candies, and some fun activities for them to enjoy on the 31st. JESUS OFFENDED EVERYONE- from every walk of life, in every corner, on both sides of the political aisle. Mark 3:6 says that the Pharisees held counsel with the Herodians against him, on how to destroy him. The Pharisees were the conservatives and the Herodians were the liberals. Both sides of the political aisle plotted together to kill him. These two groups hated each other but they were in agreement that Jesus had to go. When it came to giving offense, Jesus spread it aroun...d. Jesus is a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. - 1 Peter 2:8 J.D. Greear- The question is not whether Jesus will offend you, but what you will do when he does. In fact, I’m pretty sure that if Jesus is not offending you, then you are not reading him correctly! When that happens, are you going to write him off, or are you going to submit to him, trusting him in what you do not understand yet? He did not come as a politician soliciting votes, but as the Lord with commands to be obeyed There will be times that you don’t understand, times where your soul feels like it is in turmoil. In those times you say with Peter, ‘I don’t know all the answers, but I know You! You are the Holy One of God! You are God; you died for me; you rose again for me! Even when I can’t understand it all, I’m sticking with you.’ We need to get more comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Starting this Sunday, immediately following the first set of worship, children 1st through 5th grade will split off for games and a lesson tailored just to them! See you at 10 AM!
