#TBT: Together with Victoria Principal and Jack Lord in Singapore filming the Hawaii Five-O episode, The Year of the Horse, directed by Don Weis back in the late 1970s. Victoria was great while Jack was something else. Stay safe guys. Love George x
Only a few weeks ago I was wishing Sean all the best for his 90th birthday. Now, I'm very sad to be condoling with his family and friends. Of course, Sean Connery as James Bond inspired me personally but seems to have encapsulated an age, the Sixties. I met Sean a couple of times and I was pleased he'd given my Bond film,On Her Majesty's Secret Service, his seal of approval. He was going to do my film many times and felt it was the best of the Fleming tales. But, to me, the most important thing was his work went far beyond Bond: into charity, into family, into politics and into golf. A man after my own heart. A great actor, a great man and underappreciated artist has left us. My thoughts are with Lady Micheline and Sean's children and grandchildren. Only love, George XXX
I'm so sad to hear of the death of Diana Rigg. She undoubtedly raised my acting game when we made On Her Majesty's Secret Service together in 1968-9. I remember the press conference at the Dorchester in London, knowing she was going to play my wife. We had fun together on the set of the movie in Switzerland and Portugal. Her depth of experience really helped me. We were good friends on set. Much was made of our supposed differences but that was the Press looking for a news story. I was sorry to have lost my wife in the film at the end. The death of Contessa Teresa di Vincenzo Draco created a memorable cinema moment over 50 years ago. As my new bride, Tracy Bond, I wept for her loss. Now, upon hearing of Dame Diana's death, I weep again. My deepest condolences for her family. Love George xx
Happy 90th birthday to the all time greatest Bond - Sean Connery. Sean, for me, was always the man. I walked in his footsteps - I had to look and dress like Sean Connery - I went to his barber's and tailors. I had no fear when I went up for the role - he was the guy who inspired me to never hesitate. Another thing we have in common is that we're both family men, so best wishes to Lady Connery, your kids and grand kids and stay safe. Love George x
Just in from Kevin Croxton: The official trailer for Parkview Music Club's upcoming fan film, "In The Blink Of An Eye", which is a tribute to the James Bond 007 film series, with nods to many classic Bond films, including a special appearance by yours truly... Enjoy. Love George x https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtXu9-SONPc
Heard it is Barbara Broccoli’s 60th today I remember spending time playing with her as a young girl over 50 years ago. Barbara, you were beautiful then and you are even lovelier now. Happy Birthday. And keep going. Love George xo
Hey guys. Have received MANY autograph requests during the last months, here's your last chance to get a photo signed by me and my good mate Terence Mountain. Thanks GL x https://www.georgelazenbyofficial.com/george-lazenby-autog/
Guess you can say I enjoy all vehicles with a big engine Video captured at my ranch a while back by my Aussie mate Chris Atkins who's a great guy Love George x
Throwback Thursday again? Okay, here’s a pic with Gerard Christopher and Britt Ekland in the early 90s show Superboy. I played Jor-El, Superman’s father, a role initially essayed by Marlon Brando who I once sat next to on a plane. Britt played Lara, Superman’s mother. Hairy times to say the least Love GL
It was great to catch up with Sigi Zidziunas & his wife Ave when I attended Supanova Comic Con & Gaming in Melbourne earlier this year. Sigi owns the original Aston Martin DBS road car that I drove as Bond. He brought it especially for a photoshoot at the show. Love GL
Belated birthday wishes to Pierce Brosnan for 16th May. Well, as we're members of the same club... Here we are with Roger, Tim and legendary British talkshow host Michael Parkinson back in 2002. Sean couldn't join us as I recall he was filming in the Czech Republic at the time. Anyway, let's raise a glass for the handsome Irishman. Cheers! George x (Photo courtesy of BBC. Hey guys. How's everyone doing? My old mate Mike Sloan recently sent me some of his personal photos from the filming of ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS... DIAMONDS AREN'T FOREVER back in 1989. We also worked together on The Return of the Man from U.N.C.L.E. in 1983 which Mike co-produced. Both obviously inspired by another bloke I played back in the 60s. Stay safe, George xx

Very pleased to have been part of Spiteful Puppet's audiobook adaptation of James Leasor’s PASSPORT TO OBLIVION. I hear we just won Best Drama Special at the 2020 New York Festival Radio Awards. Congratulations to director/producer/writer Barnaby Eaton-Jones, executive producers Gary Haberfield, co-writer Paul Birch, and my fellow cast Terry Stamp, Glynis Barber, Nicholas Grace and Michael Brandon. . It was great fun playing Australian agent, Dr Jason Love. A little research ...from my team told me David Niven had played the fella in a 1966 movie called Where The Spies Are in 1966, a year before he played James Bond in the 1967 spoof of Casino Royale. So, I guess he's the other, other fella. Leasor was a sort of contemporary of Ian Fleming, a journalist who turned out some pretty good books including The Boarding Party which I am told was made into The Sea Wolves starring good old Sir Roger Moore. It really is a small world! . Cannot wait to do more of them. There was Passport To Peril 1966, Passport In Suspense 1967, Passport For A Pilgrim 1968, A Week Of Love 1969, Love-all 7 short stories - 1971, Host of Extras in which Love makes a guest appearance - 1973, Love and the Land Beyond 1979, Frozen Assets 1989 and finally, Love Down Under 1992. The books have a complete story arc that sees the character growing older over the series so that will be fun. And it is great to be 80 and able to play a much younger man! . Love George x See more
It's kind of bittersweet to hear Ronan O'Rahilly has passed away... He was the man behind Radio Caroline, the pirate radio station which helped kick off the Swinging Sixties in London. I remember those days well. He was very influential on me giving up the role of James Bond back in 1969. While I was shooting On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Ronan convinced me Bond was all over. Why get tied to one image when I could do a range of roles. I guess he appealed to the times. He c...onvinced me to not stay on as Bond - I'd be in danger of becoming part of the Establishment. Something he rebelled against. Easy Rider was supposed to be the way forward and I could do three or four of those type of movies for every Bond. I wanted to be a free spirit, make love, not war. Ronan wouldn't let me sign the Bond contract - kept sending it back. He was executive producer on my movie Universal Soldier. Who knows what would have happened had Ronan not got a hold of my brain? But I don't regret a day of my life. Not a single day. And I still have a great life. Rest well, Ronan. Love George xx See more
Happy to note that Hulu's Becoming Bond documentary made it to Variety's alternative list and not Everything Or Nothing ... Is my story more interesting than the one bringing James Bond 007 to the big screen? Love George x
Since I passed on the opportunity to buy it back... a head's up that my old BSA Rocket III bike is being put up for sale next month in UK's Charterhouse Auctioneers and Valuers' online auction on May 6th. Check it out if of any interest. Anyhow, good luck to the bidders. Love George x
