Good morning parents players and families, as most of you know our season was delayed from little league until April 6th that has been changed as we are still dealing with this virus.. please understand we can only do what little league and our local government has asked.. we are under shelter in place orders until April 30th.. we will give updates as we have them.. In the meantime you can still play catch and hit balls around with your children.. keep them active.

We are aware of the statewide safer at home directive. Little League recommends to delay the season. Baseball & Softball games are not forgotten. We will all get through this together and experience all the fun and activities as planned. This delay is beyond everyone’s control and we have to focus on health and safety. Perfect time for backyard practice. More to come soon hang in there. Questions: [email protected]

We want to send a huge shout out to Maggie’s a locally owned restaurant located on the east side of town who donated two gift cards to our spring raffle!! If you can take a minute and like their page and think about stopping in for breakfast or lunch and show your support! https://www.facebook.com/631844743902994/

Good morning coaches, parents, family and friends of Little League and Greenfield Baseball Association. First let me thank you all for your participation in this league. I send this message to clarify what’s on everyone’s mind: COVID-19. As the president of this league I realize that each parent knows what’s best for their own kid. Personally I think that each of you within this organization has the intellect to decide on your own when to practice, when to stay home, and whe...n to conform to ideas that may be off the beaten course. I support each and every one of your decisions when it comes to the safety and well being of these kids. With that being said, I can only pass along information sent down from the Little League organization and ask you to understand their recommendations to DELAY the season until April 6th. We always take Spring break off so the delay will go until the 13th. As a league we will delay opening day, pictures, raffle, games and events organized by GBA for a few weeks. I realize this raises a lot of questions, please be patient and understanding as the board reschedules these events. Rest assured your kids will get the games, practices, uniforms, umpires, fun and events promised to them as you paid for all these activities. As a volunteer of this league for the last 12 years, president of this league for the last 3 years, parent and previous coach I understand every question and concern you have. A lot of thought and compassion went into this text and decision. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns or comments. Advice and support is always welcome. G.B.A. is always looking for additional board members, volunteers and coaches. I welcome each of you to step outside of your comfort zone and become apart of something bigger than yourself, something that makes a change in a child’s life that can only be identified years later when someone says thanks coach, or I had fun playing at GBA. Please understand I’m not agreeing with, nor disputing Little Leagues decision to delay the season, however I am complying with their request which creates an extra effort on myself and every board member and volunteer that helped organize and orchestrate this season. I understand it’s also a huge inconvenience on each parent and coach. At the end of the day, unfavorable decisions are made and this one happens to be for the safety of our kids. Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have at [email protected] or visit www.littleleague.org http://click.email.littleleague.org/

Attention parents: we understand that some of you have not yet heard from a coach. We have found all our coaches and the last few are picking up packets tonight. Your kids haven’t missed out on anything most coaches won’t even start practice until next week. Opening day is March 28th we still have time.. Thank you for your patience.

Greenfield Baseball Association 09.08.2020

Attention parents: all coaches have been given there teams if you have not heard from a coach give it a few more days.. we have 2 teams currently without coaches and will be calling those parents today to find a coach! Remember we are all volunteers who also work full time outside of gba so it is unacceptable to call all hours of the night.. the season doesn’t start until March 28th your child has not missed any games ect.. we will figure it out! Thank you!
