Ripon Fire Technical Reserve Unit

To kick off the 16th annual Main Street Day Car Show, benefiting the Ripon Fire Technical Reserve Unit (TRU), we are holding an online raffle for a chance to win a weekday morning fishing experience of a lifetime aboard the Salty Lady, a large, fast, and comfortable 56’ boat in the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean! You and a guest will board the Salty Lady, captained by Jared Davis, who has a lifetime of fishing experience and hit the high seas to fish for salmon. This... is sport fishing at its best!!! Only 150 tickets will be sold for this raffle. Tickets are only $10.00 each. Ticket sales will end on October 10, 2018, at 5:00 pm (PST) or unless 150 tickets are sold, whichever comes first. A fishing license is required for both you and guest. This prize is only valid in the mornings, Monday thru Friday and expires October 31, 2018, which is the end of the fishing season. Many of the TRU members are retired first responders that have the training to assist the Ripon Consolidated Fire District during special events for First Aid. Because the TRU is able to assist with these kinds of events and services, it allows for Ripon Consolidated Fire District's firefighters and medics to be available for other emergencies within the community.

The Technical Reserve Unit is vital in the up keep of the Ripon Consolidated Fire District's Emergency Communication Trailer by advising the department on what type of equipment and training is needed for department staff to be able to utilizing this trailer in major emergency situations, including when everyday communication services go down.
