The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is increasing access to and engaging more girls in sport through character-building youth sports and athletic experiences i...n an effort to reduce health disparities, increase career readiness, and provide the necessary support to keep them on a path to achieving their full potential. This panel is the third in a series of four that will cover how sport promotes health and wellness, self-confidence, teamwork, decision-making and social skills, and, above all, perseverance. Women in sport smash gender stereotypes, providing inspiring role models for all girls, and portraying gender equality. The LA Kings hosted and produced the first two panels, and the Clippers are helping with the final two in the series.
