We’re excited to be releasing a free webinar & article that Luke Beckman and Durell Coleman put together on COVID-19 Recovery for the Social Sector. They’ve brought together the disciplines of Design Thinking and Emergency Preparedness to walk social sector leaders through a step by step framework to fortify their organ...izations and ensure they can continue to deliver services when the next destabilizing crisis hits. I grew up in Texas but Juneteenth was rarely acknowledged. The "colorblind" way of dealing with racial issues is to act like they never happened. Juneteenth should have been a state holiday - a day of celebration and refection. But it wasn't. Nor were/are any other holidays honoring the freedom of slaves from bondage. July 4th hold symbolic value because it's when the US gained independence, but that day want a day of freedom for all Americans and we need to remember that. It was such a joy to see this day acknowledged and celebrated across the country this year. I think this is the start of something beautiful.
This Juneteenth, let’s stand together and continue the long march toward justice. https://bit.ly/2YRzEEX #juneteenth
