In celebration of Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Fullerton College’s Cadena Cultural Center will be hosting a screening of Tt (New Year) and Q&A with filmmaker Peterson Pham on Tuesday May 4 from 5:00-6:00 PM PDT.... Synopsis: Peterson is a queer Vietnamese American living in Orange County, CA. After a conversation with his mom, Peterson celebrates Tt, Vietnamese New Year, with a different outlook from years before. The CSU Chancellor’s Office and all 23 campuses are excited to provide an alternative to in-person college fairs for students and families during CSU Week on Oct. 5-9th. Each campus will present a short live session to provide a campus overview, information about the admission process and a question and answer portion. For any emerging or established students who wish to further develop their leadership skills: This is the first-ever, virtual retreat hosted by Student Life and Leadership, in partnership and collaboration with Umoja! We are creating a space for students to learn about leadership, activism and the Black Lives Matter social justice movement. We will have a dynamic keynote speaker, two sessions led by Arnetta Smith (Ethnic Studies Professor) and Brandi Avila (Manager for Umoja).... Students will also be provided with a gift card to join us for a virtual lunch, a book by Ta-Nehisi Coates Between the World and Me and swag items from Student Life and Leadership.
