Meet Anahi, our featured staff member of the month! In honor of #NationalLibraryWorkersDay and #NationalLibraryWeek, we’re starting a monthly recognition of our... amazing team members and their service to the community. Anahi has worked at Chowchilla Branch Library - Madera County for about 2-1/2 years. She is currently teaching two of our online Backpack Literacy Programs in English and Spanish through a grant from First5. Her favorite parts of her day are helping people in need and seeing smiling faces on the kids who visit. She enjoys trying new foods and visiting new places, and her favorite movie is the Dark Knight. Thank you, Anahi, for all of your hard work and dedication to the public! See more

April is National Poetry Month! In honor of one the boldest subjects in the creative arts, our FMCL officers and members have crafted Haiku poems in hopes to inspire others to write about their experience. Haikus are usually structured in three phrases with syllables of 5, 7, and 5 respectively. Let us know how you are doing by creating a Haiku! Let's get our creative juices flowing.

The FMCL meeting this Thursday has been canceled. Be sure to stay sane while you shelter in your homes by reading delightful online books offered by the Madera County Library. Bonus! The only germs they have on them are your own!
