Radan is proud to announce our newest board member! Dr. Dorriz was born and raised in Southern California. He attended the University of California at Los Angel...es (UCLA) for his undergraduate studies, where he took a serious interest in neurology and received a degree in psychobiology in 2009. During his time there he worked in a basic science research lab funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation looking at Parkinson disease in animal models. Dr. Dorriz went on to attend medical school at the American University of the Caribbean on the island of St. Maarten. During medical school, he was able to work both in the central valley as well as in England under the National Health System before graduating in 2012 as a member of his medical school's Honor Society. He went on to complete both his internship and residency in adult neurology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), completing his residency as a Chief Resident in 2017. He further cemented this into a passion by writing a book chapter on psychotropic medication's impact on the seizure threshold, as well as traveling to India to practice neurology as part of his education.
