Thanks to our grant from California State Parks Foundation, the Amigos de Bolsa Chica's FLOW Program welcomed it's first group of K-5 students from Golden View Elementary on November 6. Golden View is participating in more FLOW Field Trips in December.

These girls are some of Tom Pfeifer’s Environmental Science students from Segerstrom High School who have been chosen to participate in an Earthwatch Expedition to the Peruvian Amazon next summer (courtesy of a grant from the Picerne Foundation).

#YouthAccessGrant The FLOW Program is growing this year! Thanks to funding from the California State Parks Foundation, we are working on two new exciting add-ons to our curriculum. Also, we welcome the addition of two interns for the summer to assist with this new programming, as well as other aspects of management and growth. http://www.amigosdebolsachica.org/terntide/2019_sum_flow.php

California State Park Foundation #YouthAccessGrant is providing funding for the FLOW Classroom Connection, the next step in FLOW’s evolution. This project will expand the access of the students to Bolsa Chica State Beach and engage students to develop new citizen science projects. It also will allow us to develop programming to welcome Elementary School (K-5) students to the State Beach and the scientific practices already established by FLOW. @calparks facebook.com/calparks
