Junior High Science Challenge Happening Today! Our 7th Grade students in Mrs. Vogel's class are busy preparing their projects for the Science Challenge! The students built working models of a magnetic levitation train. The trains levitate because the magnets’ like ends repel each other with enough force to lift the train off the track. This type of train has very little friction to overcome as a result. These trains can be found in Japan, but more will be built for the upcoming generation. Good luck, everyone!

Happy Friday, MCS Family and Community! Our High School Principal, Pete Plotnik, is proud to announce that Isabelle M. and Andre V. have been named Commended Students in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program! A Letter of Commendation from Maranatha Christian Schools and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, was presented by Principal Plotnik to these scholastically talented seniors. Isabelle and Andre placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.5 million students w...ho entered the 2021 competition by taking the 2019 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). After 4+ years of serving the Lord with excellence here at MCS, and literally doing "All Things" as our Athletics Operations Assistant, we're sad to announce that Caleb Whitley will be leaving to Dallas, Texas to work for RepU Sports as their sales representative. His wife Sydney works at the online personal styling company, Stitch Fix, as a stylist, and will tranfer to their offices in Dallas, too! He says he'll miss coaching the kids the most, student small groups, and havi...ng the opportunity to witness and display Christ to them and mentor. Please join us in wishing Caleb and his wife Sydney the best in their new season of serving the Lord in Dallas! His last day on staff is Friday, Oct. 2. We will miss you both!
