Service will go live at 10:45 AM https://youtu.be/PSKr_6XByBU How to Respond to Suffering in Our Lives 1 Peter 4:12-19 We certainly grow accustomed to the finer things in our lives. We often don’t even realize how much we have been blessed until they are gone. If we lose a material possession through no fault of our own, we may feel a sudden loss or if it has been stolen from us, we may feel cheated. But probably nothing can replace the loss that we feel during grief. Or when... the health of our loved one or even our own health suddenly changes. For some, it is possible to lament the loss of a job, loss of respect or reputation, or a change in their financial future. It could be a change in a relationship. Do you despair over a bleak or doubtful future because of change beyond your control? The Proverbs says, Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy. Worship will be live at 10:45 https://youtu.be/0wlE0_BFlCw When God Doesn't Make Sense Joshua and the Battle of Jericho Joshua 6:1-20 When we don’t understand the rationale behind God’s command it is harder to be obedient. Because we are proud of our intellect and we have a difficult time being submissive anyway. And when God’s commands don’t make sense to us, our faith is really tested.... But it is then that we have the opportunity to prove whether Jesus is really the Lord of our lives. March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams' horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have all the people give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the people will go up, every man straight in." Join us for worship at 10:45 AM https://youtu.be/Iks5lhfowvc When God Is Challenged Elijah and the Prophets of ba'al 1 Kings 18:16-46 The people under Ahab’s administration suffered during his rule because he had no regard for Gods’ laws, principles, or how the nation had been set up prior to Ahab becoming king. Ahab scoffed at the idea that there was a God to whom he was answerable to someday. Ahab aligned himself with the enemies of God and his nation to please his famil...y member. Not unlike modern America's people and leaders, we scoff at the idea that God would hold us accountable. The light of God’s truth exposes our greed, selfishness, immorality, pride--and so we’d rather not have His light shining down on us and we rebel. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. John 3:19 See more

Service live at 10:45 AM https://youtu.be/6lSbJ8qpj3M Teaching the Next Generation the Absolute Truth Deuteronomy 11:19 and Psalm 78:3-7 Evangelical Christians have not done a very good job transferring faith and values to the next generation. We see a whole generation of children who are being influenced less by their parents than by the culture around them. A culture filled with idols and counterfeits. A culture that can’t tell the difference between right and wrong. A cu...lture that can’t distinguish between human and animal, male and female, reason and madness, art and pornography, ignorance and knowledge. How can we be more effective passing down our Christian Heritage to our children? Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land that the LORD swore to give your forefathers, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.
