Please be safe this Halloween, pay a close attention to what your pet is doing while you are enjoying a "Trick or Treat" session, as your loved ones can also "Trick" you and get into eatables they should not and may need some emergency "Treat"(ment). You may have visitors who are not aware of the fact that some of the treats may be toxic to pets, so please make a plan with your family how you would be handling your pets during this fun time, may be have one family member sit by them for a little bit and then take turns taking care of your furry babies while enjoying the festivity. During the week of Halloween, calls to the veterinarians at Pet Poison Helpline increase by 12 percent. Find out the most dangerous Halloween toxins. http://bit.ly/12RofOo

So, as a cat parent you should pay a close attention to their paws and make sure they are healthy. A broken toe nail leads to infection, nails are directly attached to bone, bone infections are bad! Please vaccinate your dogs against Parvo virus on regular basis. Puppies usually need a series of vaccines (how many? it would depend on the risk levels based upon the region you live in, Parvo is bad in certain parts of US, therefore needing more boosters) and adult dogs should get their yearly boosters. We have seen cases of Parvo infection in 2-3 year old dogs. It is a deadly disease which can quickly take your pet's life. Please protect them against this monster.
