The Teens Speak Up! & Public Policy Institute is the Foundation's signature advocacy initiative. This biennial conference brings together more than 175 advocates, including local Epilepsy Foundation office staff, families, health care providers, and volunteers from across the country to make a difference. Teens living with epilepsy and a family member have the opportunity to receive advocacy training and meet with their lawmakers to share their experiences and discuss issues that are vital to the epilepsy community. We are happy to highlight our teen, Celesta Abbott who is participating on this advocacy program and will be attending Hill Week on March 22-26

Every day is a good day to make sure you're on the roster to vote in the November election, but Tuesday, September 22nd, is National Voter Registration Day. In California, the easiest way to do this is at RegisterToVote.ca.gov. Once you've done this, if you're a member of the disabilities community, you should also take a look at Disability Vote California at www.disabilityvoteca.org. This non-partisan coalition is committed to engaging and informing voters with disabilities, eliminating barriers to voting, and protecting eligible voters' right to participate in elections. #disabilityvoteca
