As the next part of our Debunking COVID Myths Series, we are sharing some wisdom from one of our EMRAs @o.de_la_rosa on what receiving the vaccine was like. When it is your turn in line, make sure to get the shot to keep yourself and those around you safe. In the meantime, make sure to wear your mask and remember to always be washing your hands

A desire to learn about the nuances of emergency medicine doesn’t have to be confined to the walls of Ronald Reagan! This quarter EMRA members have taken their interest in medicine to the books in order to explore the world of medical literature, starting with Complications by Atul Gawande. This book centers around the discussion of human fallibility in such a lucrative field, and in combination with Dr. Gawande’s stories of the ED, members have certainly had interesting and fruitful discussion over the ideas presented in this novel.

If it doesn’t cover your nose you might be exposed! As an organization devoted to the implementation of healthcare in our community, EMRA is here to remind you to wear your mask correctly. Some of our upcoming COVID-19 informational posts will be centered around demystifying the vaccines being used to help our community recover from this pandemic.
