The Garden Grove Elks would like to let everyone know that the Elks National Foundation has opened up the application process for the Most Valuable Student Scholarship. This contest is open to all High School Students nationwide with an opportunity to be awarded with a scholarship for UP TO $50,000!!! The Garden Grove Elks received $3500 from the Elks National Foundation's Beacon Grant money! We've purchased school supplies for the many deserving children who are in desperate need at this time. These supplies are to be delivered to Buena Clinton Family Center and Garden Grove Boys and Girls Club. Elks Do!

The Garden Grove Elks wish to pause a moment and recognize our Purple Heart Veterans on this day, August 7th. This is a day of observance was created to commemorate the men and women who have been killed or wounded during military service. On this day in 1782, General George Washington created the Badge of Military Merit. Congress had put a moratorium on promotions in the Continental Army due to a lack of funds; the commander-in-chief created the award as a way to honor enlisted men deserving of recognition. A photo of the first original merit badge is posted in the comments below.

Howdy everyone & Happy Sunday! How would you like to help kids in need with some school supply donations?? We have found that many families in Garden Grove have been hard hit financially do to job loss from Covid. And a Back Pack full of school supplies would greatly be appreciated by so many deserving kids! Please join our mission! DETAILS: We are collecting school supplies at the Elks Lodge. Supplies will be for Garden Grove school kids and will be distributed to Bu...ena Clinton Center and Magnolia Resource Center. Please bring your donation to our Elks Lodge at Trask and Newhope St. off the 22 fwy in Garden Grove. You can also drop off your donations at the Lodge Mon-Friday 9-4 pm.
