How to prevent the "Corona 15" while Self-Isolating Here are a few good tips to help you avoid gaining weight while you are stuck at home / working from home. 1. Stick to a schedule. Plan out your meals for the day as well as your meal times, and stick to them. Only eat at the designated times.... 2. Keep a bottle of water at your desk area and sip it throughout the day. Drinking water helps keep you feeling full and helps to prevent cravings. Don't keep candy or sweets in your work area. 3. Make time for exercise. Plan on getting 30 minutes of intense movement every day. Exercise will help relieve stress and anxiety; two of the leading causes of overeating. 4. When shopping for groceries, stick to healthy, nutritious foods. If you buy junk food, you will eat junk food. If you're home with kids, they don't need junk food either. Sugar is the leading cause of obesity, metabolic diseases, and hyperactivity. 5. If you are lonely, reach out and call a friend, go for a walk, listen to music or a podcast. If you have already noticed your clothes fitting tighter, it is NOT too late to regain control.
