As schools transition to remote learning to limit the spread of the virus, the team at TI has been hard at work exploring new resources, and identifying existing ones, that can support students and teachers as they pivot to virtual learning. FREE SOFTWARE: We are pleased to offer free, 6-month licenses of TI software to give students and teachers access to the full functionality of their calculators from any PC or Mac computer. We have also made our iPad app available at no cost (though April 2020) and released a Chromebook app for schools and districts to use during this difficult time. Please use this link to gain access to the software of your choice: https://education.ti.com//resources/online-learning-program

I have a student teacher this year. His name is Santiago. My students call him Mr. E. And having observed me for an entire semester sees the incredible value in using the TI Nspire Navigator on a daily basis. So he just took over 2 of my classes for the rest of the school year this week. And he is learning how to use the Navigator as he teaches. Santiago is making the kids the live presenter, sending quick polls, and sending and receiving entire classwork assignments. I promised him that I will help him write a grant for his own system when he gets his own class next year.

Was just informed by Texas Instruments that I will be speaking at their International Conference at Dallas in 2020. I am really excited to be giving the Shooting Freethrows activity adapted for the TI-84 with my good friend Eddie Chaves.
