This week we are also heartbroken to discover the passing of Cicely Tyson, an inspirational American actress and fashion model. In a career spanning more than seven decades, she became known for her portrayal of strong African-American women. Tyson was the recipient of three Primetime Emmy Awards, four Black Reel Awards, one Screen Actors Guild Award, one Tony Award, an honorary Academy Award, and a Peabody Award. Tyson was named a Kennedy Center honoree in 2015. In November ...2016 and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the highest civilian honor in the United States. In 2020, she was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame. Landing her first TV role in 1956, Tyson continued to capture the hearts of the world in Films and Television until her passing. An extraordinary force in the entertainment industry, Cicely will go down in history as a pioneering legend.

This week we are saddened to discover the news of the passing of Cloris Leachman, one the greatest of our time. Cloris was an Oscar-winner for her portrayal of a lonely housewife in "The Last Picture Show" and a comedic delight as the fearsome Frau Blücher in "Young Frankenstein" and self-absorbed neighbor Phyllis on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show ‘ just to name a few of her incredible accomplishments.
