GINSENG IS RE-BRANDING! Ginseng Yoga has been the yoga home to so many of you over the past 18 years! With tons of workshops, classes and events, full of wonderful teachers and students, it's been amazing so far! The pandemic of 2020 has changed things up in so many ways, bringing classes online and leaving an empty studio that is sitting there waiting for you to be able to safely return for in person classes. ... It has also given us a lot of down time to reflect, renew and make some changes and upgrades. Some changes to announce: Cindy is pursuing other things and is no longer with Ginseng. We wish her the best! Also, with the down time, we figured it was a great time to refresh energy, and remodel the studio, as well as rebrand! Having been shut down for so long has been a challenge for sure, but we are really excited about the future. We're super happy to share with you, the new name of Ginseng Yoga.... . . . SWIPE RIGHT FOR OUR NEW NAME AND LOGO! .......... WE’RE SUPER EXCITED. The new website will be up in the next couple of days. You will sign up for classes as you always have. Another email will follow in a few days with more details and everything you need to know. . . Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of BALANCE, order, rhythm and harmony. ~Thomas Merton BALANCE - ( noun.) a state of equilibrium or equipoise; equal distribution of weight, amount, etc. something used to produce equilibrium; counterpoise. mental steadiness or emotional stability; habit of calm behavior, judgment, etc. a state of bodily equilibrium: He lost his balance and fell down the stairs.... How important is BALANCE ? In what ways does balance help you or how does imbalance show up in your life ? Here are 9 ways by Jasmin Tanjeloff to bring more balance into life : 1. Acknowledge. Take some time to really look at your life, your state of mind, and how you’re feeling. Be honest with yourself and notice the areas of your life that you’re neglecting. 2. Examine. Notice if you’re leaning more toward an internal or external focus, or if there are areas within each category that you would like to be more balanced. 3. Set Goals. Look at the outline to help you decide which ways you want to balance your life. Make a list. 4. Plan Tasks. Make a list of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that you will need to do to achieve each of these goals. What have you tried in the past? Did it work? If not, what can you do differently? 5. Reflect. What is the most important thing you’ve accomplished in the past? How did you stay focused toward this goal? How did you handle your fears, doubts, anxieties, worries, and negative self-talk? Remember this and harness it! 6. Prepare. What is your inner stuff that will try to keep you from sticking to your plan (fears, worries, doubts, negative self talk)? Can you specify the things you will say to yourself to push you off track? Keep them at bay! 7. Empower. What do you need to remember in those times? What are things you can say to that self-sabotaging part of yourself? Be kind to yourself. Balance won’t feel good if you’re cruel to yourself in creating it! 8. Connect. Find someone who can help you challenge your little demons and celebrate your accomplishments. 9. PLAN ! take 3 months to overcome your habitual patterns and create new ones. Create new habits to enjoy a more balanced life
