We are very excited to offer the Journey to the Future-Transition Career and Resource Fair, a teacher-led expedition for students with IEPs/504 plans within San Bernardino and Riverside County! This virtual event will feature resources, guest speakers, and more. Students will be educated on local high-need industry careers, the essential skills those careers require, and the local postsecondary programs that lead to them. The Journey to the Future expedition will be presented... virtually beginning April 16th through May 28th, with both live and prerecorded sessions included! This event provides very beneficial lessons and resources to teachers, students, and families. "Acceptance is an action, and it goes beyond changing the language we use. In order to truly practice autism acceptance, autism organizations must also change how they think about autism, and how they work to represent autistic people." This is a fantastic read on the application of autism acceptance, emphasizing that autistic people do belong and deserve welcoming communities, inclusive schools & workplaces, and equal opportunities.
