Today’s National Coffee With A Cop! We would normally be spending it with our community...this year’s a little different. We miss the old days like these photos from our last event. Can’t wait to have a cup and some fun conversation again!

Just over the last two weekends, we arrested 32 people for reckless driving or DUI (which is obviously reckless too). We tell people; getting caught and arrested is about the best thing that could happen. Too many sad stories come out of this behavior!

Remember to keep having conversations with loved ones as they age. Things like reaction times, reflexes, eyesight and taking medications all play a huge role in driving safety. Take care of the ones you love even if it means taking away their license. Help us save a life!

Last night we teamed up with CHP Contra Costa catching many DUI drivers on I-680. One driver was even driving through the cone pattern for a Caltrans road closure. Could have been very bad!

Why is driving important to our elder population? FREEDOM! But with age comes safety concerns. During this time of sheltering, the loved ones in your life may have learned to live differently. Today we visited the Pleasanton BMX track, the Pleasanton skate park and the Dublin skate park. We saw some amazing action as the kids were shredding it up! We talked about bicycle safety, handed out helmets and of course, junior officer stickers!
