This is an important article, but it starts in the mother's womb. Here's an important paragraph in this article: "It made Nagler wonder if TLR4and specifically, the propensity of certain gut bacteria to activate itwas the key to tolerance to dietary antigens. Sure enough, when she treated mice with broad-spectrum antibiotics to deplete their intestinal bacteria, even animals with wildtype TLR4 had severe reactions to food allergens. That established a role of signaling by bacteria in the gut in regulating responses to food, she says. And then all of the studies we’ve done since then, over 15 years, have built on that.

This makes a very important statement: the importance of vitamin D and allergies being one of the possible problems as a result of deficiency -- especially in utero.

Gluten intolerance, gluten sensitivity and celiac disease are becoming more and more problematic, as evidenced by this great article: http://www.the-scientist.com/ . The "powers that be" should investigate NAET. I see many people each day who once had gluten sensitivity and intolerance whose symptoms have resolved. Diagnoses celiac disease can also be helped, but avoidance is necessary for an undetermined period of time.

This is what I've been preaching for over 30 years. Glad to hear science is catching up. I believe that vitamin A plays a part in this as well, as noted in this article: http://www.allergyresearchgroup.com/august-2010-immune-tole

Ah, Spring...It won't be long now until all of the lovely plants we're seeing thanks to the rain in southern California will be releasing their pollens. Do you get "seasonal allergies"? Then you might want to consider reducing your food histamine load and boost up your natural anti-histamines (see article below). If you don't know what those things are, post your email and I'll send you a list.
