After playing professional basketball for eight successful seasons, highlighted by winning a European Championships. He returned to the Bay Area to found Empower Me Academy. The organization's mission is to prepare student-athletes to be leaders on the court and beyond.

In the latest edition of Tuesday Testimonial, the longest-tenured member of the USF Athletics department, women's tennis head coach Peter Bartlett, reflects on his life around tennis. What began at a very young age thanks to his mother and grandfather has lasted a lifetime. Bartlett saw a successful collegiate career ar the University of Oregon before being convinced to take the Associate Head Tennis pro position at the Olympic Club. That naturally led to him becoming the head coach of the USF tennis program prior to the 1997-98 season.
