Ok, so yes I followed these guys to the Mondavi so I could ask for a photo. They’re like the super stars of Davis these days plus I really like their ride! I was wearing my HDT jacket so I knew they’d respect the kinship. All of our DDBA staff are running a side hustle for Healthy Davis together these days, including me. So cool to see our town transformed with HDT billboards, bus banners and now vinyl wrapped vehicles. What’s next?

It was a Burmese Beef Curry with Potatoes night for me. Highly suggest upping your takeout schedule and blaming it on the pandemic + your supporting local businesses and no dishes! Congrats to Myat Mon, Jacob Yettou and the team on being into your second week of business. Totally digging the intense spices Burma Eat and Basmati Biryani Rice!

CITY OF DAVIS HELPS BUSINESSES WINTERIZE WITH CARES GRANT MONEY Dec. 10, 2020 The City of Davis announced that is has accepted $125,519 in CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) grant money from Yolo County to assist local businesses with impacts of COVID-19, particularly the winterization for outdoor operation. The City is working quickly with Davis businesses to enable them to operate better outdoors in the winter months, said Mayor Gloria Partida. ...We are grateful for the County grant and for the community’s patronage of local businesses. The City will act in accordance with any current or future State or County orders related to outdoor business, but will construct this infrastructure now to allow for use of the grant funds and to ensure that the facilities are ready to go when the time comes for business activity, such as outdoor dining, to resume. Tents for outdoor operation will be installed downtown at the following locations: G Street closure between Second and Third Streets E Street Plaza northern drive isle G Street southern travel lane between Second and First Streets Installation of the tents will begin immediately. Initial work in downtown may create some disruption to flow of traffic, but the tents will be installed in a phased approach to lessen the impacts. G Street will be closed to traffic between Second and Third Streets, and the southern travel lane on G Street between Second and First Streets for the foreseeable future. Other streets may be closed temporarily to accommodate the project. We believe that facilitating outdoor operations is one of the best ways to help our business community, said Brett Maresca, Executive Director, Davis Downtown Business Association. Thanks to the community for its patience as we get this system up and running, and we are looking forward to your continued support of our downtown while conducting holiday business.

Did you miss the free face covering distribution yesterday at the Senior Center? If so, free face coverings are being handed out at the City of Davis Police Department, located at 2600 Fifth Street, right now until 4pm. Face coverings are an important way to slow the spread of COVID-19.
