Legal issues. The homeowner here made me pinky swear that we would have her kitchen done by thanksgiving! Notice the scared look on my face. We did. I wonder if we hadn’t- would pinky swear hold up before a judge? Great use of cherry cabinets with the current trend of grays. Nice project run by Vladimir Mitrovic. Our usual cast of subcontractors. #2 of 5 kitchens we promised by thanksgiving. Same basic layout with a few minor tweaks. Existing lights. Glazed finish by Kyle Davey. Tops and tiles by Dave’s Tile City. Customer was able to find appliances in same brand except microwave. Looks fantastic.

Trends. Many of our clients are choosing to run the backsplash tile up to the ceiling around the window. Seems a popular idea and I like it. Just finished this kitchen. Coordinated by Zac Law. We used the same subs as noted in previous posts. Pictures go from before to after!

Good taste. Some people have it, some people don’t. This kitchen is a good example of clients who have a good sense of color and texture. This home had a dual level floor. It may have been a cool idea when the house was built but the coolness faded. We brought it all back to one level, removed a wall and really transformed this kitchen. Amazing work by our posse . Way to go Zac Law for orchestrating this masterpiece with Davey Painting, Dave’s Tile City, Porcelain Paradox ( Phil Smith ), Caldwell Enterprises, French’s Floor Fashions. We are currently booking jobs into February 2021. Kitchens and bathrooms are our thing.

Facelift kitchen. Sometimes if your existing kitchen has decent quality cabinets you can create a new look without a complete tear out. In this case we changed out a few cabinets, relocated some appliances, changed out the lighting, PAINTED and installed new tops. Notice the island as a different color and top. Someone once gave me this advice remember the 5 p’s . Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance. Part of my plan here was having Caleb Farrar run this project. Much detailed planning when into the design with a client who has REALLY good taste, ( especially with contractors ). Our trusted cast of characters contributed their work here. Most rewarding project this year. A few very detailed layout changes allowed for a much better use if space. Unique items here include a 30 deep set of cabinets at the cooktop wall, engineered beam to replace a load bearing wall & redefining the distance between cabinets. Navy Blue. Very impressed with the colors selected by this client. This is one of our what we call kitchen facelifts. New doors, new lighting, enlarged island, granite and tile by Dave’s Tile City. Painting by Davey Painting. Booking into the summer.

Shelter in the shower. Some recent showers we’ve completed. Although the majority of showers are tile we are starting to offer Polymarm panels with acrylic pans. A little more affordable than tile.

A whole new layout. Customer came up with this layout which I tweaked a little to make it work. Basically we relocated the master bath and closet to the other end of the master suite. Having a raised foundation made the plumbing an easy task. Excellent job management by Caleb Farrar. Special thanks to Bernatz Tile & Stone, Davey Painting. Interesting discovery that the existing drain/waste/vent pipes were in copper. Yes, I saved all of it!

Sometimes bigger IS better! Large kitchen with sizable island, 10 foot ceilings. Great selections by homeowner. House was made a little larger to accommodate this remodel. Gazebo we completed in north Yuba City. We don’t get a lot of these but couldn’t turn down the opportunity. For a client we have done other projects for. Architect for this was K D Architects Yuba City. All full size rough sawn kiln dried Doug fir beams and posts. Excellent work by Adam Higgins Masonry, Davey Painting, All-Rite Roofing, Porcelain Paradox, Dave’s Tile City, Jackson Group ( electrical ), Bi-County Stoves, Jeff Davis.
