Great work performed by Drs. Choudry, Chotani, Rothstein and Rajvanshi from Washington Vascular Specialists and Washington Cardiovascular Institute in Takoma Park, MD in successfully diagnosing and treating a 61-year-old female who presented with severe common femoral artery disease and three prior, failed, femoropopliteal graft bypass procedures. Upon failure of the last bypass, the patient was told her only remaining option was amputation. The team successfully treated the common femoral artery with DABRA, followed by stenting and PTA resuming flow through the common femoral artery and avoiding amputation. http://ow.ly/Po8h50wyU1J

Impressive lecture today by Elias Kassab, MD, on the use of DABRA as a tool for crossing superficial femoral artery (SFA) occlusions at #NCVH19 in New Orleans! We have found that DABRA is successful in treating very challenging lesions including long and severely calcified lesions, both above and below the knee, said Dr. Kassab. In our experience, DABRA has a very low complication rate and we have not seen any angiographic or clinical evidence of distal embolization. #NCVH19 #DABRAlaser
